PHP was written in the C programming language by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1994 for use in monitoring his online resume and related personal information. PHP 2.0 was released in  on June 8, 1995. I started to write code with PHP around August 1998, and at that time PHP 3.0 was the current stable release. I still write code the majority of my backend web service processing in PHP, with the ability to change from procedural coding style to the more widely adopted Object Oriented Programming style or OOP on July 14, 2004 with the release of PHP 5 and the Zend Engine II, and currently PHP 7.4 ( current as of October 2020), with collaboration on over 200 on-line professional GitHub repositories to-date.

Although there aren't any official PHP certifications, I am endorsed through an assessment on LinkedIn (under the Skills & Endorsements section) with over 20 years of actively writing php software.
